DFO/ODF ?
Dento-Facial Orthopedics (DFO) is a scientific art that focuses on correcting growth anomalies of the jaws and face, aiming to achieve the individual aesthetic and functional optimum of dentomaxillofacial development through a combination of biological and mechanical means.
The types of dental appliances

Removable dental appliance
These are devices that can be removed from the mouth by the patient. They are often used in children to correct mild to moderate malocclusions and may include palatal and mandibular plates for preventive or interceptive purposes, as well as activators designed for functional treatment and devices that include traction hooks (FEO, Delaire Mask).

Metal orthodontic braces
The braces are attachments bonded to the teeth that serve as anchor points for the orthodontic wires. The latter are metal or plastic wires that are attached to the brackets and apply pressure on the teeth to gradually move them into the correct position.

Ceramic orthodontic braces
Ceramic orthodontic braces are a variation of traditional brackets used in orthodontics. They are designed to be discreet and aesthetic, as they are made from translucent materials or the same color as the patient's teeth, making them less visible than conventional metal brackets.

Orthodontic retainer
Once orthodontic treatment is complete, retainers can be used to keep the teeth in their new position. Retainers can be fixed (like wires bonded to the back of the teeth) or removable (like clear aligners).

Invisible aligners
Invisible aligners are custom-made, removable clear plastic dental correction devices designed specifically for you, to gradually move your teeth into the correct position in a discreet and comfortable manner, thus providing an alternative to traditional orthodontic braces.
The first orthodontic visit should take place at age 7. If there is an orthodontic anomaly requiring early intervention, a short treatment (less than a year) will be initiated to avoid finding oneself in long and difficult situations to manage during the overall treatment (between ages 11 and 14).
It all depends on the treatment. Each case is specific with many parameters, so the price will depend on the case. At the end of the first orthodontic consultation, we will be able to provide you with a precise and specific estimate for your case.
It is possible to pay for your treatment in several installments depending on the treatment, at no additional cost. We have implemented these options to simplify the lives of our patients.
